Apple Steve Jobs resigned

The legendary boss and co-founder of the American giant Apple Inc., Steve Jobs resigned on Wednesday and head of the group takes Tim Cook, until  the number two od Apple Inc today.
"I've always said that if the day comes that I can not fulfill my duties as a director of Apple, I'll be the first to say," said Jobs in a letter to the company's board and the "community of Apple '.
"Unfortunately that day came. Quit general manager of Apple », says that Jobs is suffering from cancer and since last January was sick.
Tim Cook, business manager was responsible for the daily operation of the group and will now replace formally Jobs, according to the "succession plan" that he has appointed.
The board said it "absolutely convinced that Tim is the right man to take the post of general manager."
Cook has graduated from Duke University and worked at Compaq and IBM before their assignment to Apple in 1998.
The announcement of the resignation of Steve Jobs drop followed Apple's stock on the NYSE.
The 56 year old Jobs had undergone a liver transplant two years ago and in 2004 showed pancreatic cancer.
The state of health particularly worried investors linking the success of Apple with Jobs himself.
