Auction for 250,000 tonnes of gasoline for Libya Tuesday, August 30, 2011, 19:55
The World Food Programme (WFP) the UN announced that announces auction for 250,000 tons of gasoline on behalf of the National Transitional Council of Libya.
According to the communiqué of the program: "At the request of the National Transitional Council of Libya, WFP aims to supply 250,000 metric tonnes of petrol which will meet the immediate humanitarian needs, saving lives for one month.The fuel supplies were interrupted because of fighting, while water and electricity generators that depend on operating with fuel. These fuels are also needed for hospitals, ambulances and vehicles that distribute absolutely essential medicines, food, water and other supplies. "
