the Chirac trial without Chirac

Without the former French President, Jacques Chirac, opened the today's trial in Paris. Jacques Chirac layer presented a medical certificate showing that he suffers from severe neurological disorders.
Chirac, who was leader of the French state from 1995 to 2007, is the first former president of the Republic referred to the courts.Prosecuted mainly for "misappropriation of public money" when he was mayor of Paris and with this trial he is  in danger of imprisonment until to ten years.Jacques Chirac was also accused that had organized a system of virtual jobs with salaries paid by the City of Paris.
