Japan :Seventeen dead from tropical storm Tala



The low barometric which was downgraded earlier the  tropical storm Tala, hit western Japan with heavy rains over the weekend, causing 17 deaths and several dozen missing, reported Sunday the national broadcaster NHK.
However, no information about turmoil in industrial production and the company of Tokyo Electric Company (Tokyo Electric Power Co) reported that the area devastated by the tsunami nuclear power plant Ntaiitsi Fukushima, northern Japan, was not affected by the storm.
The tropical storm Tala, which hit the western island of Shikoku in Japan Saturday, and had crossed the main island of the country till early Sunday morning, was off the west coast national Sunday afternoon (local time), moving north-northeast at a speed 10 km / h Weather Service said.
The television showed footage of mudslides and flattened wooden houses next to a bloated, dark brown river in Nara Prefecture in western Japan.
Meteorological Agency official said that more rains are expected, although the center of the storm is no longer in Japan and that the residents should remain vigilant.
