U.S. greets the EU agreement to impose an embargo on Iranian oil

Satisfaction expressed Wednesday the U.S. in principle agreement of Member States of the European Union embargo on oil imports from Iran, reported international news agency Reuters.
Despite all the threats of Tehran to close the Strait of Hormuz, from where he spends every day for 40% of oil used globally, the European Union seems to keep pace with Washington for increased economic sanctions against Iran in order to limit military implications of the nuclear program of the latter.
According to Reuters, the only thing left is to decide the timing of the embargo. If a such a move since several EU countries, including Greece will have to find alternative sources of supply.
In any case, the imposition of new sanctions against Tehran may be decided at the next meeting of EU Foreign Ministers on 30 January in Brussels.
