In progress is the process of closure of Bonga oil field, owned by Shell, offshore Nigeria, after a leak that occurred yesterday during tanker loading.
The oil field produces 200,000 barrels of crude oil a day.According to the company announcement, the oil spill in the ocean so far "did not exceed 40,000 barrels of oil."
